Liang Sisi is the Vice Dean of the School of Architecture, as well as Associate Professor in Urban Planning and Design at Tsinghua University. She is awarded as a Young Changjiang Scholar by the Ministry of Education and has previously served as a preliminary judge for the Paulson Prize. She is also a recipient of the National May Day Labor Medal in 2024. She has led research projects for 3 China NSFC funding projects and has published over 40 articles and journal papers. Her primary research interests include sustainable urban renewal, site planning and design, and built environment evaluation. Dr Liang has published and translated 8 works, including a series of books of "Site Planning and Design" (with Gary Hack), and "Neighborhood Planning for Healthy Cities." Her design project was selected for the International Union of Architects' 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda. Dr Liang has been recognized with numerous awards, including first place in the National Young Teaching Competition, and has been a key contributor to projects that received the Ministry of Education's First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress, the ASC's First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress, and the National Excellent Planning and Design First Prize.
